A large-scale fire in an industrial zone in Pardubice, which destroyed a warehouse belonging to the arms company L. P. P. holding a. s. and caused hundreds of millions of CZK in damages, is being investigated by the police and intelligence services as an arson attack suspected of terrorism. In response to the incident, the Prime Minister also made a statement, urgently calling on companies to increase security at their facilities, according to the ČTK.
Furthermore, security analysts warn that such hybrid threats will unfortunately only increase in the coming period, with private strategic enterprises increasingly becoming the targets.
The Pardubice tragedy has clearly demonstrated that relying on conventional or outdated security measures no longer pays off, and prevention is now a matter of company survival. In the current geopolitical situation, it is therefore essential to elevate facility security to a professional level.
Our security specialist, Bc. Vít Zukal, also strongly warns against underestimating these risks and delaying the modernization of security measures. He urges companies to conduct an audit and subsequently upgrade their existing security systems at this time.
